The Russian invasion has undermined Ukrainian agricultural production.

In autumn, there may not be enough warehouse space to store the crop. According to preliminary estimates, the harvest is expected at the level of 10-15 million tons. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmygal.

He said that the Ministry of Agrarian Policy is considering the possibility of organizing mobile storage facilities. Shmyhal added that the aggressor is deliberately destroying agricultural facilities, such as the second largest grain terminal in Ukraine in Mykolaiv.

At the same time, crops in Ukraine could be reduced by up to 40% due to a full-scale Russian invasion. To date, Ukraine has already lost 25% of arable land.

Russia stole another 500,000 tons of grain from the occupied territories. Russian theft of Ukrainian grain is confirmed by numerous testimonies of Ukrainian farmers. We add that the criminal seizure, export and use of Ukrainian grain by Russia violates the basic principles of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) - ensuring food security and overcoming hunger.
