Operation "Wet Spouts" in Poltavska Oblast: State Emergency Service published rescue footage


Rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Poltava region joined the rescue of animals isolated on the island.
In Poltava region, the State Emergency Service rescuers together with UAnimals volunteers rescued about 50 animals isolated on the island of Vishnyaki. Images of the rescue were published by the State Emergency Service.
In the morning of 13 December, rescuers together with volunteers, representatives of the Charity Organisation "Charity Fund "UAnimals" went to the island of Vishnyaki to save domestic and pets, which were in isolation, - reported in the State Emergency Service.
About fifty pets and birds were on the island for almost two weeks unattended. The owner of the animals died in early December. During this time, food for animals and birds was delivered by local residents and volunteers.
Operation "Wet Noses" - so affectionately called by the rescuers - began early in the morning. It took volunteers and rescuers about five hours to catch all the animals," rescuers said.
In total, more than 30 cats, six dogs, two chickens and one duck were rescued.
