One of the most difficult moments of this summer at the front were the enemy's attempts to capture Kharkov

The summer of 2024 was one of the most difficult periods on the front, especially due to attempts by Russian forces to get closer to Kharkiv and Vovchansk.
An intelligence officer of the Rubezh brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, Vitaliy Lytvyn, has spoken about one of the most difficult moments on the front this summer - attempts by Russian troops to seize Kharkiv and Vovchansk.
This is reported by the TV channel "We are Ukraine".
According to him, these attacks were a real challenge for both the military and the civilian population.
When the enemy tried to capture Kharkiv and Volchansk, it became a serious test. There were tense moments then, especially in the civilian sphere. There were many questions about the engineering and fortification facilities that the state was building. It was the challenge of this summer, but we were able to hold back the enemy and did not allow him to advance deep," Litvin noted.
Today the situation has changed and, according to Litvin, Russian troops have concentrated all their forces in the Pokrovsk direction.
Meanwhile, Kharkiv celebrates the 370th anniversary of its foundation.
The mayor of the city, Igor Terekhov, emphasised that this year's celebrations would be restrained due to the situation at the front.
If it wasn't for the war, we would celebrate in a completely different way. However, now we have to think about people's safety, so there will be no large-scale events," he said.
