Around 17,000 babies have been born in Kyiv since the start of full-scale war

The full-scale war, which has been going on for more than a year, has not discouraged Ukrainians from marrying and having children.
Mykola Povoroznyk, first deputy head of the Kiev city state administration, writes about it.
He told how many new families and little residents have appeared in the capital.
And while we are working for Victory, Ukrainians are being born and new families are being created in Kyiv every day. 25,550 couples were married in Kyiv during 375 days of full-scale war," Povoroznyk wrote.
According to him, 16,979 babies have been born in the capital since 24 February: 8,786 boys and 8,193 girls. Among the newborns there are 292 twins and four triplets.
It should be noted that 29,768 babies were born in Kyiv in 2021.
