Named professions that will be in demand in Ukraine after the war


Because of the war, many Ukrainians lost their jobs. Some of them, after the end of hostilities, will have to change their occupation.
War dictates its own rules and affects the labor market. Many Ukrainians, for one reason or another, were forced to leave their jobs. Some of them will not be able to restore their previous jobs. However, according to experts, the post-war labor market will offer the unemployed a lot of vacancies. What kind of specialists will the labor market need, according to the material of RBC-Ukraine.
In particular, the authors of the material note that there will be a lot of work for those who know how to design and build buildings. The country will need:
- architects
- designers
- designers
- builders
- masons
- carpenters
- electricians
- welders
- painters
- tilers
- gardeners
The construction sector will pull other areas with it - the production of materials, logistics, special automated equipment for construction. This means you will need:
- engineers
- sales managers
- workers in factories for the production of construction equipment and materials.
Also an important area that will require labor resources will be the agro-industrial sector. Its workers will have to restore the destroyed and provide the country with food.
There will be work for the security forces. Ukraine will strengthen its army, as well as a number of other departments - rescuers, security service, police detachments, intelligence, etc. The country will also build up its military-industrial potential.
Medical workers will also not be left without work.
After the war, there will be many more vacancies with knowledge of tactical medicine, surgeons who can work in the field, pediatric doctors, the article says.
Among the professions that will have the greatest popularity in medicine, experts have identified:
- surgeons
- cardiologists
- neurologists
- physiotherapists
- specialists in rehabilitation and prosthetics.
As emphasized in the material, one of the priority professions will be logistics. The country will need:

- purchasing and sales managers
- logisticians.
And also professionals will be needed to work on the railway and pilots.
One of the important priorities after the war will be energy independence. Alternative energy, own deposits will be developed. And this will lead to demand in the labor market for professionals in the field of energy and gas production.
Specialists will be needed in biofuels and bioenergy, biogas, wind energy, hydropower, solar energy, etc.
The work of psychologists will also be in demand. Many people have experienced and still face a lot of stress, which, of course, will affect the health and behavior of a person in the future. This will need to be dealt with.
After the war, psychologists and psychotherapists, including the military, will be needed by almost every Ukrainian. And this means that the demand for them will grow several dozen times, - the authors of the material believe.
The development of technology will gain momentum even more and Ukraine will need specialists in this field after the war. Already now we see how digital technologies help to receive and process information faster in all spheres of life.
The digital revolution will continue, so the country will not do without programmers, web designers, developers, analysts and engineers. Cybersecurity specialists will also be needed.
Teachers will also be in demand. Many of them were forced to leave the country (as a rule, women who fled from Russian aggression abroad) and are not going to return in the near future.
Among the professions in short supply, the authors also distinguish merchants, marketers and advertisers. The business is growing and it will need competent specialists.
Recall that the Cabinet of Ministers decided to limit unemployment payments to one month during martial law.
