- At ZNPP, the Russian Federation may create conditions for a nuclear incident

The enemy can create conditions for a nuclear incident after the de-occupation of ZNPP.
The Energy Minister said this during a meeting with the head of the EU delegation, Deputy Director General for Energy of the European Commission Massimo Garriba, on the sidelines of the 67th session of the IAEA General Conference in Vienna, the Energy Ministry said in a statement.
German Galushchenko drew the partners' attention to the fact that the situation around the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant is quite tense and poses a potential threat to the nuclear safety not only of Ukraine, but also of the entire European continent.
The minister expressed concern that the Russians could create conditions that would lead to a nuclear incident already after the de-occupation of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. To prevent this, it is important to organise an international mission that will check the situation at the facility and make sure that it is safe to return ZNPP to operation.
The Energy Ministry head also noted that by shelling Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities that supply electricity to other nuclear power plants, Russia was creating additional nuclear threats to the world.
