For his part, the press officer of the Kherson region police, Andrei Kovany, in a comment to Suspilny , said that the people who were in the convoy first heard the sound of the plane and saw it, then when it turned around, it fired shells at people.

The shelling resulted in a direct hit by an unidentified projectile, likely a rocket, on a minibus, killing at least five people and injuring five others, he said.

Law enforcers opened a criminal case because of the violation of the laws and customs of war by the Russian invaders.
