In Düsseldorf, Germany, on 16 September, the Ukrainian national team completed its performances at the "Games of the Unconquered-2023" and won 34 medals.
The Ukrainian team of 25 veterans won 34 medals: 12 gold, 14 silver and 8 bronze. This is reported by Suspilne Sport.
This is the best result in the history of performances of the Ukrainian team at the Games.
"Games of the Unconquered-2023" took place from 8 to 16 September. They were attended by 21 national teams.
Invictus Games or "Games of the Unconquered" is an international sports competition among war veterans who lost limbs, were wounded or traumatised on the battlefield.
The Invictus Games Foundation was founded by Prince Harry in 2014, with 400 military athletes from 13 countries taking part in the first games in London.
Ukraine joined the Invictus Games in 2017.
