The USA 2023 Firefighter Challenge US National Championships were held last week in Hoover, Alabama.

This is reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service.

Firefighters from 16 units of the US Fire Service competed in the team categories "Tandem" and "Relay".

Ukrainian rescuers Oleksandr Baran and Volodymyr Dudka at the invitation of the First Responder Institute were invited to the competition as judges.

It was also the preparation of Ukrainian rescuers for the World Championship. Oleksandr Baran set a new world record in the age category 40+, passing the trials with a result of 1.19.98.

Before that, the world record had been held since 2014, which no one could surpass.
