Moldovan Interior Ministry says rocket debris has fallen in the country
Because of the incident, the number of police patrols on the territory bordering Ukraine has been increased.
Moldovan border police officers have found the wreckage of a missile after a massive Russian strike on Ukraine, the Moldovan Interior Ministry has said on Facebook.
The ministry claims that a border patrol discovered the remnants of a missile in the Larga area (Briceni district).
The report says: "Following Russia's massive bombardment of Ukraine, a border police patrol discovered the remains of a missile fired as a result of Russian airstrikes on Ukraine this afternoon near the Larga border sector."
The Interior Ministry also published a photo of the missile wreckage.
The ministry also said that the number of airspace surveillance patrols on the Ukrainian border territory had been increased.
According to the Interior Ministry, this is the third case when rocket debris fell on Moldovan territory after Ukraine was shelled.
