Moldovan President thanks Ukraine and Romania for evacuating citizens from Gaza

Moldovan President Maia Sandu has thanked the presidents of Romania and Ukraine for the evacuation of Moldovan citizens from Gaza.
Moldovan President Maia Sandu has expressed deep gratitude to the presidents of Romania and Ukraine for the evacuation of Moldovan citizens from Gaza. She wrote in social network X.
I am deeply grateful to Presidents Klaus Johannis and Vladimir Zelensky for the support of Romania and Ukraine in our almost month-long mission to evacuate Moldovan citizens from the Gaza Strip, - wrote Sandu.
NewsMaker reports that 36 Moldovan citizens managed to evacuate from Gaza to Egypt on 7 November.
Now they are in Egypt, after which they will be taken to Bucharest together with Romanian citizens on a special flight, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania. Then, they will be brought back to Moldova by bus," the Moldovan president said.
Sandu thanked all those involved in the evacuation process: the staff of the Moldovan embassies in Israel and Turkey, the MFAEI team, other institutions involved, strategic partners - Romania, Ukraine and the USA.
