- Mobilisation and the course of the war: what Zaluzhny spoke about at the briefing

Today, 26 December, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valeriy Zaluzhny, gave a briefing, in particular, on the new draft law on mobilisation and military service.
The main statements of Valery Zalezhny were collected by Socialportal.
Mobilisation
The General Staff together with the Ministry of Defence have agreed on the possibility of demobilising the military after 36 months of continuous service. In order to be able to replace people in 2025, the training of new people should start already in 2024.
I clearly understand and know that our soldiers are doing their job at the front in extremely difficult and very difficult conditions, thanks to which we can talk to you in peace. It is very, very hard for them. And I would like people going into the army to clearly understand how much they need to fight. Together with the Ministry of Defence, we agreed on the figure of 36 months, hoping for two things: first - that there will be no aggravation at the front; second - that these people will be replaced in 36 months," said Zalezhny.
At the same time, according to the commander-in-chief, demobilisation of the military in 36 months is possible if "the intensity of hostilities does not increase".
As for the rotation of units, Zaluzhny noted that for regular rotations (after 6 months at the front) it is necessary to increase the number of military at least twice.
At the same time there is an opportunity to demobilise conscripts. According to Zaluzhny, the General Staff has already made a proposal to release conscripts from service.
Handing out summonses
Valery Zaluzhny said that he was not satisfied with the work of the Territorial Manning Centres (TMC).
As for the TCCs, I am not satisfied with their work. If I were satisfied with them, I would not be discussing the issue of this bill now. I want the people who work there to understand that it is a separate speciality," the Commander-in-Chief said.
According to him, some TCC heads are already being replaced.
TheGeneral Staff has not proposed the introduction of electronic subpoenas. However, they are happy with any method that will ensure the army.
War
Asked about the course of warfare in 2024, Zaluzhny said that next year should be different technologically.
2024 will not just be different, it must be different, otherwise what I wrote about in the article awaits us. Accordingly, we have found these problems, and we have already found somewhere around 90% of the solutions to these issues, which will have to be solved in order to act more effectively next year and most importantly - to save people, - he said.
At the same time, the commander-in-chief noted that the enemy is not technologically lagging behind the AFU. And at the moment there is a powerful confrontation.
The defence of Maryinka continues - the AFU remain in the vicinity of the settlement. However, the enemy is literally destroying Maryinka, using the methodology that was used in Bakhmut.
