Ministry of Defence announces the creation of a department to combat corruption

This was reported by the Ukrainian Defence Ministry.

According to official information, the Ukrainian Defence Ministry will have a department to prevent corruption in defence procurement. Ukrainians are urged to report violations.

I urge everyone. Military personnel, businesses, journalists, public experts and activists: if you see signs of corruption in the defence sector, please provide information.

Acting director of the department, Serhiy Stepanyan, believes that the Ukrainian Defence Ministry will now be reset and the anti-corruption unit will be strengthened.

It is worth recalling that the Defence Ministry started paying more attention to anti-corruption activities after a journalistic investigation in which it was revealed that the ministry was buying overpriced food for the AFU.

After this, deputy defence ministers were dismissed and Oleksiy Reznikov himself promised that he would reset the ministry's work.
