Ministry of Social Policy: it will soon be possible to increase your own pension online

This was announced by the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Oksana Zholnovich.

A bill has already been registered, which was jointly developed by people's deputies and the Ministry of Social Policy, on the possibility of independently paying an insurance premium. Previously, only the employer could pay the insurance premium. In some cases, it was possible to buy insurance experience retroactively, that is, when a person had already reached retirement age, but he did not have enough experience. But it was a difficult decision and a complex calculation. Today we are greatly simplifying this system, we will definitely digitalize it. It will be possible to do this simply through a personal pension account or other digital tools. There will be no need to personally apply somewhere and it will be possible to do it online,” said Oksana Zholnovich.

Zholnovich informed that the payment can be made through the web portal of the Pension Fund and other digital tools.

Oksana Zholnovich also told which category of citizens would be interested in the online ERU project.

The first category is Ukrainians who are abroad, but retain their jobs in Ukraine, being on vacation without pay. In this case, ERUs are not paid for them, that is, the insurance experience disappears. The second category is people of pre-retirement age who are left without work and who find it difficult to find a job in such difficult times. The third category is pensioners with a potentially small pension, — the minister said.
