Malyar talks about the fighting in the Bakhmut direction: 500 metres -1km flanking advance

Fighting in Bakhmut is taking place in the southwestern part of the city.
Deputy Defence Minister of Ukraine Anna Malyar said this during a TV marathon.
According to her, the Defence Ministry separates the notions of the city and the suburbs of Bakhmut. Ukrainian troops are now trying to advance in the suburbs.
So far we are separating this situation: city and suburbs. In the suburbs we continue active operations - it's north and south, yesterday I gave information on how far we have advanced there. On the one hand it seems like a small distance. We were talking about 20 square kilometres. And yesterday we gave data on both flanks: one is about 500 meters, the other is about 1 km.
Also Malyar noted that it is very difficult to move forward. After all, one metre of liberated positions in Bakhmut - is 10km in other conditions.
In addition, Russian troops are trying to regain lost positions, but the AFU is fighting back.
The fighting in Bakhmut takes place predominantly in the southwestern part of the city.
