Macron envisaged sending troops to Odessa in the near future - Le Monde

The President of France does not exclude the introduction of troops into the territory of our country.

French President Emmanuel Macron believes that he will have to send the military to Ukraine. In particular, he is considering sending French soldiers to Odessa. This is reported by Le Monde.

The publication recalls that on 21 February this year Macron said that because of the tense situation in the war of Russia against Ukraine, France will have to send the military to Ukraine. Then the French leader said several times that he continues to consider such a possibility.

In particular, on 26 February, Macron answered questions from the Champs Elysees reception about the possibility of introducing Western troops into Ukraine.

In any case, in the coming year I will have to send some of my people to Odessa, - said the head of France.

Earlier it became known that France is creating an alliance of countries that are potentially ready to send Western troops to Ukraine. And the manager of the Combat Training Centre (CENTAC) in Miley-le-Camp in eastern France said that French servicemen began training in conditions close to real military operations.
