Lithuanian volunteers came under fire in Ukraine

Lithuanians in two cars were delivering aid to Ukrainian forward positions and came under heavy Russian shelling in Pokrovsk.
Five Lithuanian citizens were wounded. One of them was seriously wounded, but his life is not in danger. The others were lightly wounded.
Relatives of the volunteers, the Lithuanian Embassy and the Foreign Ministry have been informed about the incident. The authorities are providing all necessary assistance.
One of the injured volunteers Sigitas Maliauskas published photos and video of the consequences of the shelling.
According to him, this Russian attack will not deter Lithuanians from providing as much help as possible to Ukraine, but will only strengthen it.

Lithuanian National Defence Minister Laurynas Kasciunas said that he keeps the situation under control.
