The long-awaited Easter. Naturally, every Ukrainian housewife will decide to put new culinary masterpieces on the table, as well as take advantage of the tips to make original Easter eggs.

Having watched many videos, I can say that not all of the suggested options are safe for health. For example, the option of painting eggs with felt-tip pens through a napkin is harmful. This is because the paint is only safe on paper. And no manufacturer of felt-tip pens expects you to use them to decorate chicken eggs. And thin egg shells leak toxic dyes. That's why I don't recommend it.

The second unacceptable way of colouring eggs is by using gilding (imitation gold leaf).
Veneer is a sheet of alloy for finishing furniture, stucco or parts of the interior. It is often a mix of copper and zinc. But "inlaying" Easter Eve scrolls with patal has also become popular on the Internet.

Of course, when you have "gold" painted eggs on the festive table, it looks very pretty. But it is dangerous for the body. Don't eat them yourself and especially don't give them to children.

The idea of dyeing eggs in red wine with a shimmering effect is quite original and safe.

Or use our grandmothers' way and dye in onion husks. The egg will then be brown in colour. To make it purple, you can use kartakade or purple cabbage. Beetroot can be used for pink and turmeric for yellow. It is both safe and healthy.

In order to celebrate Easter without stressing your health, there are a few important rules to follow.

  • Remember that the feast is always stressful for your body. Although the food on the festive table is quite simple: cottage cheese, flour products and eggs. However, on this festive day, we eat more than the norm and you may feel a heaviness in the stomach and a tingling sensation on the right side.
  • As we age, the pancreas changes the amount of enzymes to digest food. Be sure to add pharmacy enzymes to your diet on this day.
  • If you have been fasting you should not pounce on fatty and floury foods. You should leave the fast gradually and not consume alcohol.
  • If you have been eating a balanced diet for several months, understanding the ratio of fats, proteins and carbohydrates, the recommendation for the Easter table is simple - do not overeat.

How many eggs can I eat per day? It's best to limit it to 1-2. Stop believing the stories about raising cholesterol with eggs. Modern research suggests that egg yolk is very beneficial for the body. However, there are individual limitations, autoimmune diseases and allergies. Then it is better to consume quail eggs instead of chicken eggs.
