Kuleba reacted to the idea of sending foreign troops to Ukraine

Sending Western troops to Ukraine will save Europe time and effort because if Putin wins in our country, he will go further to the West. This was stated by the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Dmytro Kuleba, commenting on the French leader's statement on Russia's intervention in the war with Ukraine, the Delfi business daily has said.

He also pointed out that Macron had not consulted Kiev before making a statement about the possible sending of troops to Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian diplomat, this indicates that the West has started to understand all the risks and has started to recognise the threat publicly. At the same time, Kuleba noted that France was not the only country discussing the issue of sending troops to Ukraine.

According to the minister, not all European capitals have an understanding that "helping Ukraine is not charity, but saving the lives of its own citizens and saving a lot of money.

He stressed that it would be "more expensive" for European countries to defend themselves on their own territory.
