Kremlin reacts to Trump's words about talking to Putin

Earlier, Donald Trump said the US is now "talking to the Russians and to the Ukrainian leadership".
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he could "neither confirm nor deny" a New York Post report about a conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
As the administration in Washington unfolds, there are a lot of different communications. And those communications are through different channels," he said.
Donald Trump spoke about his conversation with Putin in an interview with an American publication, without giving details of the conversation.
I'd rather keep silent," Trump said when asked how many times the leaders had communicated.
He said Putin "cares" about killing on the battlefield, "he wants people to stop dying."
Trump also also said he wants to make a $500 million deal with Zelensky to gain access to rare earth minerals and gas in Ukraine in exchange for security guarantees for any potential peace settlement.
