Red Cross to reduce funding for humane aid to Ukraine

The International Committee of the Red Cross will cut humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The organisation has already announced its intention to cut its funding.
This was stated by the deputy prime minister for the reintegration of temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, Iryna Vereshchuk, UP.Life has reported.
Ukraine can rely less and less on the help of international organisations, so public organisations within the country should work more actively," Vereshchuk said.
According to her, the Red Cross has already notified the Cabinet of Ministers about the reduction of funding for humanitarian needs. Vereshchuk also noted that now Ukraine needs to look for help elsewhere and called on public organisations to join the cooperation.
I will ask them to work specifically with vulnerable categories of the population and during the winter period," the ministry added.
She stressed that in winter Ukrainians will also face an energy crisis and problems with fuel. Experts predict that "this winter will be heavier than the previous one because there were reserves then".
