Citizens of other countries legally residing in the European Union may be entitled to social benefits in connection with the birth of a child.
This also applies to Ukrainian citizens who have received temporary protection in Denmark.
For example, for Ukrainian women who come with children, the government has provided extensive childcare subsidies, including free pre-schools for all children and childcare subsidies for after-school care.
Separate benefits are also available for those who have given birth in Denmark.
