Due to the war in Ukraine, the working week is longer

Before the war, many enterprises in Ukraine worked in two or even three shifts.
In Ukraine, under martial law, the working week can last ljkmit the usual. Instead of the limit of 40 hours, the working regime was extended to 60. The State Labor Department explained the situation with the introduction of a 12-hour working day.
They explained that before the war, many enterprises in Ukraine worked in two or even three shifts. Now most enterprises work in one shift. Therefore, employers have the right to increase the duration of the work shift from 8 hours to 12.
However, as warned in the State Labor Service, employers cannot solve this issue alone. They must inform their employees of changes in working conditions.
The employer must coordinate the decision to establish a 12-hour working day with the trade union. It will also be necessary to enter the summarized accounting of working hours. This follows from the requirements of Art. 61 Labor Code.
