It's official: how many days Trump gave Putin for a truce with Ukraine

US President Donald Trump has said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin should conclude a peace agreement with Ukraine within 10 days. He informed journalists about this.
According to Trump, the countdown began from today. "10 days from today," he said when asked about the deadline, which he had previously promised to shorten, speaking about the possibility of a truce between Russia and Ukraine.
The head of the White House noted that the US is ready to introduce duties and other restrictive measures against Russia. At the same time, he admitted that he was not sure whether they would have an effect on the Kremlin: "It may or may not have an effect on them, but it is possible."
From a 50-day ultimatum to 10 days
Trump had previously said he was giving Putin 50 days to end the war, threatening new sanctions and tariffs. However, he later said he would reduce the deadline - first to 10-12 days and now to 10 days.
In addition to duties, the US president is considering secondary sanctions - against countries and companies that help Russia circumvent the restrictions already in place.
