The income of the Russian Federation for the period since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine amounted to 158 billion euros.

Spiegel published the Finnish Center for Energy report, and Clean Air Research (CREA)reports Spiegel.

The analysis records oil, gas, and coal exports from February 24 to August 24 this year, while sea and pipeline transport data were evaluated. They showed that the EU was the biggest buyer with 85 billion euros, followed by China with 35 billion euros, the report said.

At the same time, Germany turned out to be the leader in EU procurement, with a volume of 19 billion euros.

CREA analyst Lauri Millivirta said Russia still makes record fossil fuel revenues despite falling exports.

To combat this, governments should impose tariffs or price caps on imports from Russia and speed up energy conservation measures, Millivirta insists. First of all, it is necessary to reduce oil and gas consumption "by accelerating the use of clean energy and electrification through heat pumps and electric vehicles," said Lauri Millivirta.
