Irina Vereshchuk announced the need for mass evacuation from the Donetsk region
The Cabinet of Ministers is ready to resettle those who leave their homes in the Donetsk region.
About 200-220 thousand people must leave their homes in the Donetsk region. Among them, 52 thousand children. This was stated Deputy Prime Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk on the air of the telethon.
This is the responsibility of every adult family member. For example, there are 52,000 of our children in the Donetsk region. They must be evacuated, they must not be endangered, leaving them without heat, without light in the winter,” Vereshchuk said.
As Vereshchuk noted, the government has already developed a plan for further accommodation and social protection of migrants.
We have placements, we understand what we will do with their social protection, we understand that they need to make VPO certificates, all payments must be paid, we already have this plan. There is an understanding where these people will be settled, in what regions, where their children will study, - added Vereshchuk.
She drew attention to the fact that there is neither electricity nor gas in the region and it will not be possible to establish a normal life in these territories in the near future.
There will be no heat in the winter period in the Donetsk region,” Vereshchuk said.
Vereshchuk also noted that residents of the Donetsk region will have the opportunity to refuse evacuation in writing.
If a person refuses, he will have to sign that he understands and is aware of all the consequences and is personally responsible for his life. We are a democratic country, we cannot force someone, but such a form will be mandatory and with the signature of such a person,” she said.
