According to The Washington Post, Russia has agreed with Iran to supply Fateh-110 and Zolfagha short-range ballistic missiles.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in a telephone conversation with Portuguese Foreign Minister João Gomes Cravinho, said that his country does not provide military assistance to Russia and does not send it weapons used in the war against Ukraine, writes CNN .

At the same time, the minister denied that Iran provided Russia with kamikaze drones, in particular Shahed-136, with which the Russian Federation is currently attacking Ukraine.

We believe that armament assistance to any side of the conflict will continue the war, and we do not consider wars to be right either in Ukraine, or in Afghanistan, Syria or Yemen, Amir-Abdollahyan said.

His colleague from Portugal doubted the words of the Iranian representative and pointed to the published evidence of cooperation between the Russian Federation and Iran.

At the same time, according to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russia is likely to have agreed with Iran on the supply of new drones. We are talking about Arash-2 kamikaze drones, which are a "novelty" of the Iranian defense complex. And according to The Washington Post , Iran plans to supply surface-to-surface missiles to Russia to continue the war against Ukraine. The countries signed an agreement on September 18.

According to intelligence estimates, Iran's industry is preparing the first batch of Fateh-110 and Zolfagha, low-capacity ballistic missiles capable of hitting a target at a distance of 300 and 700 kilometers, respectively.
