In Ternopil still looking for 22 people under the rubble, 26 dead. Three children are among the dead, three more are missing


Rescuers continue to remove the rubble of residential buildings in Ternopil after the terrible Russian attack on 19 November.
Many civilians are missing and they are being searched for. This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
All night our rescuers have been working in Ternopil, and search and rescue operations are still ongoing. The whereabouts of 22 people remain unknown - they are still looking for them, - the President wrote in Telegram.
More than 230 rescuers from nine regions of Ukraine are involved in the work. In some areas it is possible to work only manually because of severe destruction and fragmentation of structures. This significantly complicates the search. At the moment it is known about 26 dead, among them - three children.
Zelensky expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the victims.
I thank all our people who have been working at the site for almost 24 hours without a break. Rescuers, medics, police - I thank each and every one of them. It is important that in such difficult days, despite all the Russian attacks and all the terror, our people always know: they can count on help and rescue," Zelensky wrote.
Today in the city to the places of tragedy people carry flowers and children's toys.
on 19 November Ternopil was shelled with missiles by Russian troops. There were hits in residential houses, in the fires people were burned alive. One of the multi-storey houses was destroyed from the 3rd to the 9th floors. As of today, we know of 26 dead in the city. Among those killed by the Russians are three children. Wounded 93 people, among them 18 children. Rescued 46 residents of Ternopil. on 19-21 November the city declared mourning. Three children are missing.
