It took three days to demine a car with the dead man

Explosive technicians of the Kiev police in Kharkiv Region have spent three days clearing the way to the car with a dead man who blew himself up on an enemy anti-tank mine. This was reported by the National Police on 21 June.

The police together with the involved services pulled out of the van the body of a 34-year-old local resident, who had been wanted by relatives for a long time.

A resident of Izium district turned to the police with a statement about the disappearance of her husband, she said that the man left home and did not return.

With the help of a drone, the police found a car damaged by an explosion in the field, similar in description to the car of the missing man.

Explosive technicians of the Kiev police, who are now working in a combined unit in Kharkivshchyna, for three days demined the way to the car to get the body of the 34-year-old dead driver.

The tragic incident occurred in a field that was densely mined by the enemy with anti-tank mines. To "break" the way to the van, we first used metal detectors and feelers. Later, in order to speed up the search for enemy ammunition, we connected to the work of an unmanned platform for demining, with the help of which in general passed about 500 metres, - said the deputy head of the Department of explosive technical service of Kiev Igor Voytsekhovsky.

When the passage was demined, the police together with the relevant services took out the body of the deceased so that his relatives could bury him.

In total, during the work on this site specialists have already found about 100 anti-tank mines TM-62.

Earlier Socialportal reported that in Muzykivka, Kherson region, an 11-year-old child was blown up by a Russian mine. The boy received shrapnel wounds.
