- In Kharkiv region, a rescuer came to a call in his own house: his wife was killed during the shelling, his son was wounded

In the morning of 31 July, the Russian army hit the Velykyi Burluk settlement in Kharkiv Region with guided bombs. A fire started at the scene and the State Emergency Service was called in to extinguish it.
A firefighter's house came under fire, his wife was killed and his ten-year-old son is in hospital. This is reported by the State Emergency Situations Service of Kharkiv region.
The most terrible thing for rescuers is to go to the call in their own house.... Unfortunately, this befell a firefighter of the State Emergency Service of Kharkiv region: the man came to extinguish the fire after a massive aerial bombardment of the village of Velykyi Burluk, and found himself on the ashes of his own house, - stated in the message.
It is known that Russian KABs hit private households, causing fires in a residential house, two garages and an outbuilding on a total area of more than 550 square metres.
As a result of the Russian strike, the 37-year-old wife of the emergency worker died, and his 10-year-old son was hospitalised with burn injuries.
The boy's condition is assessed as average, Kharkiv OVA chairman Oleg Sinegubov said. According to him, the occupants used 22 KABs and FPV drones against civilians and facilities in the region during the day.
