In Detroit, unknown assailants killed a synagogue manager

ISIS has publicly called for the destruction of Jews and synagogues.
A synagogue president has been murdered in Detroit. Forty-year-old Samantha Wall was stabbed multiple times in her own home. This is reported by the Detroit Free Press.
Police found the body of Samantha Wall with multiple stab wounds at her home - there led a "blood trail" from the street, where the crime allegedly took place,
Law enforcement officials are trying to identify suspects in the attack and are unable to give their motives at this time," the report said.
Wall was chairman of the board of a synagogue in one of the city's neighbourhoods and also assisted in Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel's 2022 re-election campaign and worked with state Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin.
She was also the founder of the Detroit Muslim-Jewish Forum, an organisation aimed at fostering relationships between young people of the two faiths.

Recall that on 7 October 2023, the Palestinian militant group Hamas launched an unprecedented attack on Israel, its fighters entered kibbutzim and towns near the Gaza Strip, killing hundreds of people and taking dozens hostage.
In the wake of Hamas' attack on Israel, the Lebanese group Hezbollah has stepped up its attacks on Israel's northern border. So far, they are only sporadic skirmishes, but the group's leaders have warned that they are ready for a full-fledged war with Israel.
Iran, too, has non-publicly warned Israel that it will go to war if the Israeli army launches a ground operation in the Gaza Strip.
Many European cities are stepping up protection of Jewish cultural centres and schools. Israeli authorities have urged their citizens to leave dangerous areas, and the US has vowed to take "appropriate measures" if Hamas's war with Israel gains new participants.
