Images from a horror film: what Kiev looks like after night shelling

Kiev 12 dead after overnight strike: three children among the victims.
Kiev continues to eliminate the consequences of another missile attack. According to the head of the city's military administration, Timur Tkachenko, the death toll had risen to 12 people by the morning. Among them are three children aged two, fourteen and seventeen.
The heaviest blow came to the Darnitsky district, where the missile destroyed the entrance of a five-storey residential building. The explosion occurred at about the level of the third or fourth floor, which caused widespread damage to the building. The city temporarily blocked traffic on several streets, and about five hundred rescuers and more than a thousand law enforcers were involved in the aftermath.
President Vladimir Zelensky has already reacted to the attack, calling on international partners, particularly China and Hungary, to give a firm response to Russia's actions.
Debris removal work continues in the capital, with rescuers providing aid to the injured. The authorities strongly recommend Kiev residents to observe safety measures and stay in shelters during air raid alarms.
