Ilon Musk has claimed he's been receiving threats

Trump refers to Musk as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), but he is not officially the head or an employee of DOGE, only a "special government employee."
American businessman and millionaire close to Donald Trump Ilon Musk said that he was threatened. According to him, this is due to his work on reducing public spending of the US government. He said this at the first meeting of the cabinet of the American administration headed by US President Donald Trump.
Musk has repeatedly said that the US will become bankrupt if the presidential administration does not cut budget spending. According to him, the country spends more than $1 trillion on interest alone on the national debt.
If this continues, the country will become effectively bankrupt. That's why I get a lot of blows and a lot of threats here," he said.
At the same time, Musk did not specify from whom exactly he receives such messages.
According to the Asoociated Press, Musk has made a lot of enemies since he started firing government employees, demanding reports from them and cutting budgets. On Tuesday, 25 February alone, more than 20 employees of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) quit. They said they did not want to use their experience to "dismantle critical state agencies."
They also said that many of the people Musk hired to help him reduce the number of bureaucrats did not have the necessary skills or experience to perform the tasks at hand.
In its first month of operation, DOGE, which is based on the US Digital Service, has already laid off more than 10,000 people, including employees at the Forest Service, the Department of Energy and other agencies.
