The Russians have previously set up such groups in Syria.
The Russian FSB has set up special temporary groups to search for members of the Ukrainian underground, the Centre for National Resistance has said. It also noted the importance of such an insurgency and the growing fear of Russians of it
Russians, even despite increased repression, cannot take control of temporarily occupied territories
The CNS pointed out that Russian special services have started a hunt for partisans:
So-called Temporary Operational Groups (TOTs) have been set up to search for guerrillas. The groups include members of the FSB's counter-intelligence department and representatives of various services
It is known that Russians have previously set up such groups in Syria. In addition to identifying members of the Ukrainian underground, the groups are also tasked with controlling Internet traffic and identifying targets for missile strikes
Local residents are urged to remain vigilant and not to expose themselves to unnecessary danger:
