From July 25, new rules for the import of animals from Ukraine to Poland will apply

To simplify the border crossing procedure, the Polish customs and veterinary services will not require a health certificate and the results of a titration test of the level of antibodies against rabies.



It is reported by the State Consumer Service.

From July 25, 2022, the importation of pets (cats, dogs and ferrets) accompanied by their owners or guardians (authorized persons) into the territory of the Republic of Poland from Ukraine will be possible subject to the following requirements:

  • the animal is identified with a microchip;
  • the animal has a valid rabies vaccination, which was carried out no earlier than the date of microchipping;
  • the animal has a valid European passport, which is issued by the veterinary institutions of the State Food and Consumer Service and confirms that the above operations have been carried out.
