Five-storey building hit in Kiev: 9 dead, including 11-year-old girl


The death toll in Kiev after an overnight attack has risen to nine, with a child among the victims.
The death toll from the overnight attack on Kiev has risen to nine. Debris removal continues. This was reported by the head of the Kiev city military administration, Timur Tkachenko, and Kiev mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.
According to Tkachenko, rescuers found the body of the ninth victim. Work at the site continues.
Klitschko specified that eight dead were found under the rubble of the destroyed entrance of a five-storey residential building in Shevchenko district of the capital. The search for the child, who was in the flat with his mother, is also ongoing. The woman's body has already been removed from under the rubble.
Four victims remain in hospitals in Kiev, among them - two children and a pregnant woman.
Later Tkachenko reported that the ninth victim was an 11-year-old girl. Earlier under the rubble found the body of her mother.
