While fishing, a man stepped on an anti-personnel mine. He was taken to hospital in a serious condition.



A 64-year-old fisherman has been injured in Kharkiv Region as a result of an explosion of an unknown explosive object. This was reported by the State Emergency Service on 14 April.

on 14 April, a man born in 1959 suffered as a result of explosion of an explosive object. The incident happened on the shore of the reservoir near the village of Martovoi, Chuguevskyi district. Martovoi Chuguevsky district, - reported the rescuers.

According to preliminary data, during fishing the man stepped on an anti-personnel mine and exploded. The victim was hospitalised with multiple shrapnel wounds to his right leg in a serious condition by the emergency medical aid team.

We appeal to everyone with a request to be as careful as possible and always remember the high mine danger, - urged the State Emergency Service.

Neglect of safety rules can lead to irreparable consequences. Do not move unknown or unchecked dirt roads. Do not touch any suspicious and unfamiliar objects. Do not go into forests, wooded areas, fields, floodplains and other open spaces, especially those where there has been fighting or under enemy occupation.
