Experts point to real "victories" of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine

Russian aggressors are celebrating the results of the two-year anniversary of Putin's war against Ukraine by declaring Avdiyivka, Donetsk Region, seized the previous day, their own. Putin congratulated the military and the DNR called this event "a key stage of the Strategic Defence Forces". However, the real outcome of Putin's aggression is questionable, experts point out, writes the portal Tochka.

DeepState points out that at the peak in the summer of 2022 was occupied 22%, now - 18% (including Crimea). The Russians have only taken two towns in a year - Bakhmut and Avdeevka, their total area is 70 square kilometres, smaller than Khimki near Moscow.

TheAir Force notes that the losses of Russian army personnel have increased 1.5 times. The names of 24100 Russian military personnel killed in 2023 have been established. In 2022, there were 15520. These lists include only those people whose obituaries or burials have been found. According to analysts, the real losses are 1.5-2 times higher.

Also, the number of casualties among residents of border regions has more than doubled. According to 7x7's calculations, 95 people have died since March 2023, compared to 49 from the beginning of the war to February 2023.

In 2023, six Russian Navy ships in the Black Sea were destroyed and five damaged. In total, since the beginning of the war, one-third of the Black Sea Fleet ships have been hit by the AFU, forcing the Russians to relocate someships from Crimea to Novorossiysk.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces continue to gain a foothold on the left bank. Thus, over the past day in the Kherson region, the losses of the Russian army totalled more than 70 occupants, an observation post and a lot of other equipment. As reported in the Defence Forces of southern Ukraine, the main type of fighting in this operational zone remains counter-battery combat. At the same time, AFU units continue to hold the left bank bridgehead, repelling enemy assaults.
