Europeans are being prepared for war: it is recommended to stockpile water, food, medicines

The EU describes the risk of war in the Commonwealth as "high".
European residents are recommended to stock up on food, water, medicines and other essentials in case of war. The corresponding recommendation was made by Sauli Niinisto, advisor to the president of the European Commission and former president of Finland, Newsweek reports.
He pointed out that it should be at least food with long-term storage, water, medicines, torches, batteries and a radio with portable power.
Households have been advised to be prepared to be self-sufficient for at least 72 hours in case of an emergency," he explained.
Niinisto said that Europe should take the Russian threat seriously and adopt a "proactive stance". He also emphasised that it is impossible to predict the Kremlin's actions.
In particular, he recommended that European governments distribute war-time advice to local populations, promote a strategy of self-reliance among the population, increase the EU budget to strengthen security and crisis response, and increase intelligence sharing among member states.
He added that a Russian attack on European countries is turning from a hypothetical scenario into a reality, as not a day goes by without Russian officials threatening Poland, Finland or the Baltic states with missile strikes or invasion.
