Hungary will receive a hefty sum for revoking its veto on aid to Ukraine.

This was reported by Politico and Bloomberg.

It is about the fact that the European Union recently blocked aid of 7.5 billion euros to Hungary due to fears that the money could contribute to bribery in the country.

In response, Hungary blocked 18 billion euros of aid money for Ukraine.

As a result, the European Union had to make concessions. First, the amount of aid to Hungary has now been frozen to €6.3 billion. In addition, it will receive €5.8 billion in grants for recovery after the pandemic. This amount has been delayed for a year and a half because of problems with democracy in Hungary.

In return, Hungary had to lift its veto on aid to Ukraine.
