Johnson and Macron discussed cooperation and assistance to Ukraine.

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson had a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron. At the same time, the parties discussed bilateral relations, assistance to Ukraine and the isolation of Russia. This is the official website of the British government .

During the conversation, the British prime minister welcomed Macron on his re-election and agreed to intensify relations between states, in particular, to resist autocracies and develop the energy security of countries.

Johnson and Macron unanimously condemned "Putin's deadly stupidity" and agreed to coordinate security and assistance to Ukraine, as well as measures to isolate the Russian Federation.

The prime minister spoke about his visit to Kyiv last month and shared his confidence that Ukraine will win if it is provided with the necessary military assistance. He urged to refrain from any negotiations with Russia on terms that confirm the Kremlin's false version of the invasion, but confirmed that this decision is up to the Ukrainian government, the report says.

Additionally, the leaders of Great Britain and France exchanged views on the impact of the war on world energy and food prices. Johnson and Macron agreed at the G7 level to work to mitigate the effects of the Russian-Ukrainian war on the economies of developing countries.

Earlier, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson promised Ukraine Brimstone anti-ship missiles and armored vehicles to evacuate civilians.

Recall, on April 9, Johnson visited Kyiv.
