The director of the capital's school will be judged for treachery: she wanted to be a minister under the new government

The director of the Kyiv school collaborated with the occupiers for the position of "minister".

The head of one of the private schools in Kyiv is suspected of collaborating with the Russian occupiers. In exchange for help, the woman wanted to become the Minister of Education in the occupation government, the prosecutor general's office said .

A resident of the Kyiv region is accused of high treason under martial law (part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code), the prosecutor's office clarified.

The investigation established that the accused, who before the start of the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, worked as the director of one of the private schools in the capital, had pro-Russian views and supported the occupation of part of our state.

According to law enforcement officers, the woman collaborated with a representative of the Russian Federation, who participated in information campaigns against Ukraine and had connections with the special services of the aggressor country.

The director of the capital's school passed on to her Russian curator information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the territorial defense, as well as about state, political and cultural figures of Ukraine who oppose Russian aggression.

As a reward for cooperation, the defendant was promised the position of Minister of Education under the occupying authorities, the report said.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the SBU. The case has already gone to court.

Under martial law, treason is punishable by a term behind bars from 15 years to life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
