Classes have started in the underground school in Kharkiv

The underground school will be taught in two shifts in a mixed format.
In the first underground school in Kharkiv, built in the Industrial district, today, on 13 May, full-fledged classes have started. This was reported by Kharkiv city council.
Today 230 children started to study in the underground school. From September 1, 900 schoolchildren, including more than 200 first-graders, will study there in two shifts.
As well as in the underground, the education in the underground school will be held in a mixed format: the part of classes children will attend remotely, and the part - face-to-face. Pupils of grades 1-4 will have three lessons in the underground school, while older pupils will have four lessons.
We tried to create such conditions as in a regular school. That's why we have classrooms, a resource room for lessons with a psychologist and a pedagogical workshop where teachers meet between lessons. There is also a cafeteria and a medical room, - said the head of the Department of Education of the Industrial District Elena Zbitskaya.
She also said that the underground school was chosen as a site for the national multi-subject test.
Earlier Socialportal reported that Kharkiv does not plan to stop there. Until September in the city may appear at least three more underground schools.
