Bulgaria to supply Ukraine with faulty S-300 missiles

Bulgaria's parliament voted on 27 September to supply Ukraine with unusable S-300 missiles.
Bulgaria 's parliament on 27 September voted behind closed doors by an unconventional procedure to supply Ukraine with unusable S-300 missiles so that Ukraine can repair them and use them to defend its cities against Russian attacks. This was reported by The Sofia Globe.
In the absence of an official announcement of the voting results, journalists had to hear from DPS MP Delyan Peevski that the decision was approved, opposed by the pro-Kremlin Vozvozhdane party, while the Bulgarian Socialist Party left the chamber during the closed part of the session.
During the open part of the debate, the head of the parliamentary defence committee, Hristo Gadjev, said the issue was about malfunctioning ammunition, which even the manufacturer could not repair because it was too old, the newspaper reported.
Gadzhev assured that the number of S-300 missiles to be provided to Ukraine was minimal and would in no way jeopardise the combat readiness of the Bulgarian army.
