An official of the city council in Donetsk region was part of the FSB agent network

The SBU counterintelligence neutralised an extensive FSB agent network. As a result of a special operation, five agents who operated in Odessa, Zaporizhzhya and Donetsk regions were detained. This is reported by the SBU.

Attackers scouted the places of the greatest concentration of personnel and military equipment of the AFU in the frontline territories. Also the defendants tried to find warehouses with ammunition and fuel and lubricants of the Defence Forces, - reported in the special service.

Among the detainees was an official of a department of one of the city councils of Donetsk region. Apart from her, two other enemy agents were operating in the region - the ex-head of a municipal enterprise and a resident of Kramatorsk.

Another participant of the agent network turned out to be an engineer-technologist of one of the defence enterprises in Zaporizhzhya. She passed intelligence on the repair of military equipment at the plant to the FSB.

Another agent turned out to be an official of a transport company from Odessa region. He collected information about the possible transfer of SUVs for the needs of the AFU.

Before being recruited by the Russian secret service, each of the defendants was an active member of pro-Kremlin groups in popular messengers.

BU investigators informed the defendants of suspicion under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).

The detainees are in custody and face life imprisonment.
