The SBU has detained an agronomist in Kharkiv Region who helped the occupants to mine fields and provide them with food.

The SBU has exposed another enemy henchman who collaborated with Russian troops during the occupation of Kharkiv Region. This was reported by the SBU on 7 February.

After the occupation of Kupyansk district, an agronomist of a local firm helped the occupants to navigate the terrain and choose the territory for minefields.

In addition, he provided the occupants with farm food and firewood to heat the captured school where they were based. Three Russian commanders their henchman "quartered" in his own house, - stated in the message.

The attacker also demanded from his colleagues to hand over concrete blocks and wood to the invaders to build fortifications. In case of refusal, he threatened with imprisonment in a Russian penitentiary.

After the liberation of the district, the defendant remained on the territory of the community, "laying low" and hoping to escape justice. However, SBU officers located him and detained him," the SBU said.

The SBU investigators informed him of suspicion under part 1 of article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (aiding and abetting the aggressor state). The attacker faces up to 12 years in prison.
