A pregnant woman was killed during the attack on Kharkiv region - the Interior Ministry

Russian troops shelled a recreation centre in Kharkiv Region.

A woman seven months pregnant was killed in Malodanilivska community in Kharkiv Region, which was shelled by Russian-occupation troops in the morning of 19 May. In total, it is known about five victims and 16 wounded. This is reported by the police of the Kharkiv region.

It is indicated that the Russians hit the place twice.

Among the victims is an 8-year-old child. He received light bodily injuries. Also injured were a police officer and an ambulance paramedic, who came under repeated fire when they came to provide assistance at the scene of the hit.

The dead were men aged 64, 65 and 58, and two women aged 56 and 72. Five men and four women were wounded. They are being treated," the police indicated.

Search and rescue operations are underway at the site of the arrival: investigative and operational teams, criminalists and explosion technicians are working.

It should be noted that at around 11:00, police received a report about shelling in the village of Cherkasskaya Lozovaya in the Malodanilivska community in Kharkiv Region. Police officers and medics arrived at the address. Already in 20 minutes the enemy again hit the same street.

As noted by the mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov, two Russian missiles flew directly to the recreation centre where people were resting.

Investigators opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine over the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war.
