Earlier, the Ukrainian authorities announced a counteroffensive in the south of the country.

Vice Prime Minister - Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk called on the harvesters of the Kherson region to urgently leave the region. She stressed that such a requirement primarily applies to women with children. According to her, the region is facing a severe winter. It is also necessary for the de-occupation of the territory, writes Ukrinform .

Vereshchuk said that now 50% of the residents have left the region.

Others are asked to follow their example. Those who cannot leave should apply to the police department,” she said.

As, in turn, the head of the Kherson OVA, Yaroslav Yanushevich, said, the situation in the region is tense: the post office, many shops are not working, there is no Ukrainian Internet and television.

We urge to leave, there can be no hostilities where there are people. There can be no military action without a threat, - said the head of the region.
