Women who save lives: Ukrainian woman included in British newspaper's ranking


For International Women's Day, the famous British newspaper Metro has compiled a list of 25 women who help, change and save lives. Natalia Nikolska from Kiev, Ukraine, was also included in the list.

Nataliya Nikolska is a former lawyer. But after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, she founded the Dattalion project.
Dattalion is a free open database of video footage of the war in Ukraine. It was created to document evidence of Russian military atrocities in Ukraine. More than 28,000 photos and videos have been published there so far.
Natalia reportedly served as Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade between 2015 and 2018. During 2018-2019 she was a researcher at Stanford University.

Amna Khan (USA) is a British powerlifting champion. amna, 41, took up weightlifting after a car accident, breaking cultural stereotypes about a Muslim woman. In June 2022, the woman became the British Powerlifting Champion.

Shobha Srivastava (India) is one of the first female anaesthetists in the UK. In her 88 years, the doctor devotes a lot of time to the topic of empowerment for unprivileged women from ethnic minorities.
Nikki Ross is the CEO of a charity. She helps and cares for survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
Tania Adib (UK) is a gynaecologist who has decided to teach women non-surgical treatments for certain female problems. These include vaginal atrophy and urinary incontinence.
Stephanie Monti - is involved in the development of colostomy bags, which are used by many patients with different diagnoses.
Bridget Bard (UK) is a medical innovator who helped develop a self-diagnostic HIV test. bridget, 50, lectures worldwide on HIV prevention and women's empowerment.
Kiran Rahim is an ambassador and ambassador for the Charity for Children with Congenital Malformation.

Danny Gilbert, who lost her hair due to an alopecia diagnosis. In her 24 years with the help of social media, she inspires women by sharing makeup designs and tips for others suffering from hair loss.
Zoe James is a volunteer. Zoe has Down's Syndrome and volunteers at a shelter for people with the same diagnosis.
Jane Kenyon is the founder of a community organisation that caters for and helps teenage girls in the North East of England.
Caroline Harper is head of science at the UK Space Agency. Caroline has helped develop equipment for the European Space Agency's mission to Jupiter, which will launch in April 2023.
