Zelensky suggested that those Ukrainians who want to hold elections now should change their citizenship

The President emphasised that "the question is not about him, but about the future of the country."
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, speaking at the Munich Security Conference in Germany, has said that "the majority of Ukrainians" do not want elections in the country before the war is over.
I am ready to talk about elections. Ukrainians don't want it. They don't want it completely because they are afraid we will lose martial law, the soldiers will come home and Putin will take over all our territory. Now we are mobilised," he said.
Zelensky added that the question is not about this or that presidential candidate, but about preserving the country.
The question is how to survive. If someone does not like it - they can choose another citizenship if they want," the president said.
Zelensky also said that Kiev was working on preparing security guarantees, which it would share with Washington. Ukraine expects the formation of a common approach to ending the war, including with the involvement of European partners.
The president added that achieving peace in 2025 is Ukraine's plan, "what we really want and what we are trying to realise".
